Overview

The flight compartment panels are the covers for the internal structures, insulation, and equipment of the electrical and air conditioning systems. They also give the flight compartment a decorative finish.

Headliner

The headliner is the cover for the structure, insulation, and electrical wires and air conditioning ducts installed on the top of the flight compartment. The headliner is in the shape of the contour of the top of the flight compartment. The headliner is made from polycarbonate material and is attached to the structure with screws.

Side Panels

The side panels are the covers for the structure, insulation, and electrical wires installed above the side consoles and below the windows. The shape of the side panels complete the internal finish of the flight compartment. The side panels are made from polycarbonate material and are attached to the structure with screws.

Rudder Pedal Panels

The rudder pedal panels are the covers that are around the rudder pedals. They seal the structure, electrical wires and components above and around the rudder pedals. The rudder panels are made from polycarbonate material and are attached to the structure with Dzus fasteners.

Rudder Pedal Covers

The rudder pedal covers are forward and aft of the rudder pedal mechanisms. They seal the rudder pedal mechanisms. The aft cover gives access to the rudder-pedal adjustment actuator. The rudder pedal covers are made from phenolic fiberglass fabric and are attached to the flight compartment floor and the pedal mechanism structure with screws. The forward and aft covers attach to each other with Dzus fasteners.

Bulkhead Panels

The bulkhead panels consist of the top, middle, lower and the circuit breaker panels on bulkhead FS326.00. They are the covers for the forward structure of the left and right-hand equipment racks that make the bulkhead. They are behind the pilot and copilot seats. The top and middle panels are made from laminated fiberglass/graphite plies while the lower panel is made from aluminum alloy. The top and lower panels are attached to the structure with bolts while the middle panel is attached to the structure with screws. The faceplates of the circuit breaker panels are made from plexiglas. They attach to the left and right-hand equipment racks structure with bolts. The access to the circuit breaker panels is from the flight compartment through a cutout in the top panel of the bulkhead.

Glareshield Trim Panel

The glareshield trim panel is installed in the flight compartment above the main instrument panel and below the windshield. The glareshield trim panel is made from laminated fiberglass plies with a top layer of aluminum meshing to shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI). The panel is attached to the structure with bolts and has crash pads on its top portion to minimize injury to the flight crew.
