Overview
The oxygen system supplies oxygen to the crew and passengers in case of cabin depressurization, smoke/ fire contamination, or other emergency. Oxygen is also available for therapeutic purposes.
The oxygen system is of the gaseous type. The basic system comprises a 77 cu. ft. oxygen cylinder. As an option, a 115 cu. ft. cylinder may be added for extended flights.
The electro pneumatic actuating valve (EPAV) controls the oxygen system. It supplies oxygen to the crew mask regulators, passenger drop-out boxes, and therapeutic masks.
