The R ENG OIL PRESS LOW message indicates engine oil pressure is low.

l eng oil press high arrow btn

The dual channel oil pressure transducer provides a continuous indication of the oil pressure. The transducer is a dual setup for redundancy to prevent false indications.

l eng oil temp high arrow btn

The oil temperature transmitter provides a continuous indication of the oil temperature. The transmitter is a nickel wire resistance type detector mounted on the AGB oil tank below the fuel heater/oil cooler measures oil temperature. The oil temperature transducer sends data through the ECU to the EICAS. The temperature indication is shown on the engine indication system (EIS) area of the EICAS display.

l engine oil bypass arrow btn

The 'L ENGINE OIL BYPASS' message indicates the respective engine oil filter is impending bypass. When the oil pressure is between 45 and 55 psi, the bypass indicator sends a signal to the ECU A and B channels to post the L ENGINE OIL BYPASS message on the EICAS. The bypass valve begins to open at 65 psid and reaches full flow bypass at a differential pressure of 150 psid. During bypass mode, the system still provides a minimum filtration level of 500 microns by means of accessible last chance screens.
