Overview
The forward lower-nose compartment is the area in the nose fuselage which holds some of the avionic equipment.
The forward lower-nose compartment is between FS250.00 and FS326.00 below WL91.25. It is in the nose fuselage, below the flight compartment floor. Access is through the forward and aft access panels on the left and right sides of the nose fuselage. The forward lower-nose compartment contains mounting racks, mounting trays, and machined frames that hold avionic components. The machined frames, mounting racks, and mounting trays are attached to the fuselage structure.
Also, the forward and aft access panels give access to flight control rods, pulleys, cables and components which go through the lower-nose compartment. These are found in the top area of the lower-nose compartment immediately below the flight compartment floor.
The forward lower-nose compartment holds the avionic equipment that follows:
- Windshield Temperature Controllers
- Heater Current Monitors
- Heater Current Monitors
- Integrated Air System (IAS) Controller No. 1
- Air Data Computers
