Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Overview

The forward fuselage is the area between FS326.00 and FS403.22. The forward fuselage structure is a typical fuselage assembly. It is made of machined and assembled frames, stringers and skins, floor structure, and floor panels. The constant fuselage station starts after the passenger door. A thermal and acoustic insulation is supplied above and below the floor from FS326.00 to FS403.22. There are insulation blankets installed over, around and between the frames.

The forward fuselage floor is found in the passenger entry compartment between FS326.00 and FS392.00. The floor support structure is made from lateral and longitudinal beams which are connected to each other. The lateral beams attach to the fuselage frames at stringer 17 and to aluminum-alloy floor posts, at LBL13.23 and RBL13.23. The longitudinal floor beams are installed at LBL13.5, LBL26.25, RBL13.5 and RBL26.25. The floor beams also hold the seat tracks. The beams between FS344.62 and FS375.38 hold the structural floor panels at the passenger door.

Forward Fuselage

There is an avionics rack on the left and right side of the forward fuselage between FS326.00 and FS344.62. Most of the system components are installed on these racks.

The passenger door location is in the forward fuselage. The surround structure for the passenger door is on the left side of the fuselage. The surround structure extends between FS340.10 and FS379.90.

The floor support structure is assembled with longitudinal floor beams and cross beams. These beams are at the fuselage frame stations at WL80.00. Floor panels of a light weight composite material are installed on the floor structure. These floor panels can be removed.

There are 48 stringers installed around the forward fuselage. There are 24 stringers for each side. Stringer one starts at the top of the fuselage and stringer 23 is at the bottom.

Forward Fuselage Floor

The forward fuselage floor includes:

Forward Fuselage Floor-Panels

The forward fuselage floor-panels are made from a graphite prepreg on a Nomex honeycomb sheet. There is a ply of glass fiber prepreg on the lower side for corrosion protection. The floor panels attach to the floor structure with screws and can be removed. The floor panels for the forward fuselage include the area from FS326.00 to FS406.00. The center fuselage floor-panels extend to the remaining forward fuselage floor-area from FS392.00 to FS406.00.
