Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The amber 'WOW FAIL' caution CAS message indicates the PSEU has determined there is a failure in the weight on wheels system.

  • Depending the severity of the fault, the components that depend on weight-on-wheel information may receive faulty information from the PSEU.
  • PSEU non-volatile memory can be downloaded from the MDC for additional troubleshooting information and faults.

  • Proximity Sensor PX03
  • Proximity Sensor PX06
  • Proximity Sensor PX33

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform AMM TASK 32-61-00-710-801 functional test of the proximity sensors. This check will identify the health of all the proximity sensors. If a sensor is out of tolerance, the procedure will have you adjust the sensors IAW AMM TASK 32-61-00-820-801.
  2. Download PSEU NVM and send to CRC for analysis.
  3. Download MDC NVM and select below.
