Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The outflow valve auto actuator does not receive any data from the IASC-1.

Possible Causes:

  • Outflow Valve Auto Actuator (MPE1)
  • Integrated Air System Controller (IASC-1) (A55)
  • Junction Box 2 (JB2)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check the wiring from the Outflow Valve MPE1 to the IASCs. Dual transmit and receive signals from the IAS Controllers and the outflow enable signal pass through Junction Box #2.
  2. Perform the Operational Test of the Cabin Pressure Control System and operational test of the outflow valve MPE1, look for operational faults.
  3. Replace the Outflow Valve.
