Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

PSEU detects an overload condition on the discrete output DOT10A. This is an unused Discrete Output on aircraft with Proline 21 Advanced Upgrade.

Possible Causes:

  • Proximity-Sensor Electronic Unit (PSEU) (A9)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

NOTE: This Discrete Output is not used on aircraft with Proline 21 Advanced Upgrade, therefore, PSEU and gear System functionalities won't be affected if this message is the only fault present on the MDC.

  1. Reset PSEU / gear system circuit breakers CB1-C13, CB1-C14, CB2-C13 and CB2-C14. Is the fault message still present?
    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  2. Remove PSEU (A9) and inspect the Connectors and Tray for any defect.

    1. If inspection is satisfactory, continue with next step.
    2. If inspection is not satisfactory, repair defect.

  3. Replace PSEU (A9).
  4. Do close out.
