RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

File Server Unit (FSU) 1 has reported a communication fault between the Multi-Function Display (MFD) and the Maps application within the File Server Unit (FSU) Software Application (FSA). Reset power to the FSU 1.

Possible Causes:

  • Multi-Function Display 1 (MFD 1) (A29)
  • Multi-Function Display 2 (MFD 2) (A28)
  • File Server Unit (FSU) Software Application (FSA) (FSA-5000)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On Reversionary Switch Panel (RSP), set the LEFT DISPLAYS or RIGHT DISPLAYS switch to PFD REV and then back to NORM.
  2. If it does not recover, reset FSU 1 circuit breaker CB1-C6 (L FILE SERVER).
