Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Power up the aircraft and make sure the potable water system is serviced.
  2. Press the reset switch at the Galley area or Lavatory. Does the 'EMPTY' LED flash yellow?

    1. If YES, then continue with the next step.
    2. If NO, then do the Functional Check of the water system. If the system is okay, then do close out.

  3. Make sure the PURGE switch is not depressed or Stuck.

    1. If YES, the PURGE switch is depressed or stuck remove and replace PURGE Switch.
    2. If NO, the PURGE switch is okay, then continue with next step.

  4. Locate the Manual override drain valve on either the Galley water pallet or Lavatory water pallet. Verify that the drain handle is positioned in either the 9 O'clock position (Drain Closed) or the 6 O'clock position (Drain Open). Is the drain handle positioned in another position?

    1. If YES, then power OFF the water system by pulling the Galley circuit breaker (GLY WTR SYST) or lavatory circuit breaker (LAV WTR SYST) and rotate the drain handle to the closed position and continue with next step.
    2. If NO, then suspect the water module at fault, replace the water pallet.

  5. Power ON the water system pushing in the Galley circuit breaker (GLY WTR SYST) or lavatory circuit breaker (LAV WTR SYST). Does the manual drain handle rotate to the OPEN position when you press the PURGE button for 3 seconds on the Lavatory or Galley area?

    1. If YES, the drain valve handle completely moved to the OPEN position (6 O' clock) then continue with next step.
    2. If NO, the drain valve handle did not move or did not move fully to the OPEN position then replace the water pallet.

  6. Replace the water pallet.
  7. Do close out.
