Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Power up the aircraft and the Cabin management System (CMS).
- On the Galley Control Panel (GCP) verify the water system status shows SERVICE on either the Galley or Lavatory water system.
- At either the Galley or Lavatory verify the water tank is serviced. Press the Reset switch.
- Does the SERVICE LED extinguish?
- If YES, then complete the Functional test of the potable water system per SMM TASK 38-10-00-720-801.
- If NO, then continue with the next step.
- Remove the water tank and verify the water feed hose check valve is correctly installed and functions properly.Water tank fitting, Check valve inside hose.
NOTE: If there is another functional water tank temporarily install the tank to validate that the quick disconnect valve works OK.
- If YES, the water tank check valve is correct and water flows through the hose, continue with the next step.
- If NO, the check valve is not correct then reassemble check valve correctly per the images provided and reinstall.
- Verify that the feed line from the water tank to the water pallet is not blocked.
- If YES, the hose is blocked or damaged, remove the blockage and or replace the hose.
- If NO, then continue with the next step.
- Locate the Manual override drain valve on either the Galley water pallet or Lavatory water pallet. Verify that the drain handle is positioned in either the 9 O'clock position (Drain closed) or the 6 O'clock position (Drain open). Is the drain handle positioned in another position?
- If YES, then power OFF the water system using the Galley circuit breaker GLY WTR SYST or Lavatory circuit breaker LAV WTR SYST. Rotate the drain handle to the closed position and continue with next step.
- If NO, then suspect the water module at fault, replace the water pallet.
- Power ON the water system with the Galley circuit breaker GLY WTR SYST or Lavatory circuit breaker LAV WTR SYST. Does the drain valve handle rotate to the OPEN position when you press the PURGE button for 3 seconds on the Lavatory or Galley area?
- If YES, the drain valve handle completely moves to the OPEN position (6 O' clock) then continue with next step.
- If NO, the drain valve handle did not move or did not fully move to the OPEN position then replace the water pallet.
- Replace the water pallet.
- Do close out.
