AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Confirm SATCOM FAN is operating correctly and air flow is passing through SDU venting holes.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Confirm presence of 28 VDC and grounds at SATCOM FAN connector B195P1.

    1. If power and grounds are present, go to step 6.
    2. If power is not present, go to step 4.
    3. If grounds are not present, continue with next step.

  3. Repair ground wiring and/or ground stud.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Do the wiring check from R DCPC connector A36P4 to SATCOM FAN connector B195P1. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace SDU mounting tray.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace SDU.
  7. Do close out.
