Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

Diplexer to Low Noise Amplifier (DLNA) to Satellite Data Unit (SDU) receiver error.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Reset SATCOM (CB4-D2) and SATCOM CONTROL (CB6-A2) circuit breakers.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Do wiring check of both RF cable from SDU connectors A82CP1/A82AP1 to Diplexer/LNA connectors A83P2/A83P3. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Do wiring check of RF cable from HGA connector E24P2 to Diplexer/LNA connector A83P1. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Confirm presence of 28 VDC and ground at Diplexer/LNA connector A83P4. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Confirm presence of 28 VDC and ground at HGA connector E24P1. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace Diplexer/LNA.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  7. Replace SDU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  8. Replace HGA.
  9. Do close out.
