The ISI Battery system will incorporate an internal test load across the batteries when a level test is requested, while simultaneously removing battery voltage from the output voltage, it is connected to the test load. This test will be launched from the maintenance panel using the test switch or the from the front of the ISI BATT. Once the test is initiated, an ISI BATT TEST ACTIVE signal is set to ground (TRUE) and sent to the RDC and the battery. The 'STBY INST BATT IN TEST' message is displayed by the MDC. If the ISI Battery stays in TEST for more than 30 seconds or if the Test failed, the message (B3-271557) 'STBY INST BATT FAIL' will be displayed by the MDC and the advisory message 'STBY INST BATT FAULT' will be shown on EICAS. If the TEST passes, the message (B3-271555) 'STBY INST BATT OK' will be displayed by the MDC for 15 seconds. |
