Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Standard Practices - Wire Repair SPM 20-12-10-02

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Pull and reset the PSEU gear system breakers (CB1-C13, CB1-C14), (CB2-C13, CB2-C14),recheck the system for the fault.
  2. If PX04, PX10, PX13 and PX16 also indicate Signal Conditioning Failure, troubleshoot these sensors for a short to ground. Perform the operational test of the proximity sensors IAW AMM TASK 32-61-00-710-801.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair or replace PX01 per the installation procedure IAW AMM TASK 32-61-01-400-801, then check the sensor out IAW AMM TASK 32-61-00-720-801.
NOTE: Sensor resistance should be made with a meter using a < 10 mA supply of current. Never apply voltage through a sensor! Current will magnetize the sensor rendering it unreliable. Sensor resistance is typically 11 to 13 Ω.
  4. If possible, download and have field service review the PSEU NVM. Further troubleshooting will depend on results of the PSEU NVM.
  5. If failure is on PX01 only with the sensor and wiring good, and the NVM download does not identify external inputs as the fault, replace the PSEU IAW AMM TASK 32-61-09-000-801, AMM TASK 32-61-09-400-801.
  6. Functional check the proximity sensor electronic unit IAW AMM TASK 32-61-09-720-801.
