Message Overview:
Message Description:
SVC is reporting fault with the airport/runway database.
Possible Causes:
- Synthetic Vision Computer (SVC) (A230)
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
NOTE: A GPS signal input is required for the SVS image to show on the pilot and the co-pilot primary flight display (PFD).
A global positioning system (GPS) signal is required to update the DATABASE EFFECTIVITY.
Without a line-of-sight signal to GPS satellites, the synthetic vision system (SVS) airport/runway data base does load correctly. The DATABASE EFFECTIVITY page does not update until the aircraft has a line-of-sight signal to GPS satellites.
