Message Overview:
Message Description:
The HIGH PRESSURE VALVE 1 is detected failed in closed position.
Possible Causes:
- High Pressure Valve 1 (HPV) (V5)
- HPV Position Switch

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Set the Wing anti-ice to ON. Make sure the XBLEED rotary switch is set to NORM.
- Visually inspect the left high pressure valve position.
- If the valve is physically in the closed position, continue with next step.
- If the valve is physically in the opened position, go to step 5.
- Remove power from the aircraft and disconnect HP valve 1 connector V5P1. With the WING ANTI-ICE switch still in the ON position and the XBLEED switch still in NORM, perform a continuity check and make sure a ground is present on connector V5P1 pin 2.
- If there is a ground present, replace the the High pressure valve.
- If a ground is not present, continue with next step.
- Perform a wiring check between the HP valve and the Anti-Ice Control Panel and repair defective wiring as required.
- Access and disconnect IASC 1 connector A55P4. Perform a continuity check to make sure a ground is not present on connector A55P4 pin 34.
- If a ground is present on pin 34, continue with next step.
- If a ground is not present, go to step IASC
- Disconnect HP valve 1 connector V5P1. Perform a continuity check between HP valve 1 and IASC 1 as follows:
From To Expected Result Result A55P4-34 V5P1-5 Continuity A55P4-34 Ground Open - If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If no wiring defects are found, replace HP valve 1 and do close out.
- Replace IASC 1. You may swap IASC 1 and 2 for faulty unit confirmation.
- Do close out.
