Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Set the Wing anti-ice to ON. Make sure the XBLEED rotary switch is set to NORM.
  2. Visually inspect the left high pressure valve position.

    1. If the valve is physically in the closed position, continue with next step.
    2. If the valve is physically in the opened position, go to step 5.

  3. Remove power from the aircraft and disconnect HP valve 1 connector V5P1. With the WING ANTI-ICE switch still in the ON position and the XBLEED switch still in NORM, perform a continuity check and make sure a ground is present on connector V5P1 pin 2.

    1. If there is a ground present, replace the the High pressure valve.
    2. If a ground is not present, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a wiring check between the HP valve and the Anti-Ice Control Panel and repair defective wiring as required.
  5. Access and disconnect IASC 1 connector A55P4. Perform a continuity check to make sure a ground is not present on connector A55P4 pin 34.

    1. If a ground is present on pin 34, continue with next step.
    2. If a ground is not present, go to step IASC

  6. Disconnect HP valve 1 connector V5P1. Perform a continuity check between HP valve 1 and IASC 1 as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    A55P4-34 V5P1-5 Continuity
    A55P4-34 Ground Open

    1. If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If no wiring defects are found, replace HP valve 1 and do close out.

  7. Replace IASC 1. You may swap IASC 1 and 2 for faulty unit confirmation.
  8. Do close out.
