RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

File Server Unit (FSU) 1 has reported an internal communication fault.

Possible Causes:

  • File Server Unit (FSU) Software Application (FSA-5000)
  • Left File Server Unit 1 (FSU 1) (A221)

Fault Confirmation Procedure: Check FSA-5000 software version installed on the FSUs. Refer to Rockwell Collins Service Information Letter IFIS-5000 SIL 1-03.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Load the FSA-5000 Application Software to the Left File Server Unit (FSU 1).
  2. Swap Left File Server Unit (A221) with Right File Server Unit (A222) and reload FSA-5000 Application Software if necessary.
  3. Do close out.

NOTE:

  1. The FSA-5000 must be installed prior to enabling applications.
  2. The FSA-5000 must be installed prior to installing the databases.
