Message Overview:
Message Description:
Left engine FADEC ECU fault B.
[MCID 0910]
FADEC ECU B failure.
A fault internal to the ECU B was sensed.
Possible Causes:
- Full Authority Digital Engine Control Unit (FADEC) Electronic Control Unit B (ECU) (A43)
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

- When interrogating the MDC or when looking at the engine downloads, look for other MCID codes such as other 600 series or 900 series. Some fault codes combinations can be typical of W5 and/or OSSD failures.
- In many cases, the associated CAS messages may not reappear on the next aircraft power-up, however they should be addressed as soon as practical to reduce the possibility of an AOG event in the future.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Interrogate the MDC as follows:
- On the cursor control panel, ensure the toggle switch is to the right and select Anti-Ice, ECS and Fuel buttons simultaneously. The MDC main menu should now be displayed on Display Unit #3.
- Using the joystick, select Current Faults (if the fault is active) or Aircraft History to research stored faults. From Aircraft History you can then select Fault History and locate the fault. Going into advanced diagnostics will provide an Equation ID for the fault identified.
- Check the MDC Current Faults or Fault history and the associated METR (Maintenance Equations and Tables Report) and/or the engine downloads.
- If the engine downloads (or MDC) contains other faults such as other 600 series or 900 series, go to step 3.
- Otherwise, go to step 4.
- Is there any of the combinations of fault codes below found in the engine downloads (or MDC)?
NOTE: If looking at the MDC, you will only find the Equation ID B3 codes. Refer to the METR to find the corresponding MCID codes. Note that these codes will be preceded by a '0' in the METR and the combinations still apply.
