Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the Auxiliary Miscellaneous Panel on the center pedestal in the cockpit, make sure that the DC and AC cabin power Push Button Assembly (PBA) are ON.

    1. If the PBAs were set to OFF, set them to ON and do close out.
    2. If the PBAs were already ON, continue with next step.

  2. Make sure the cabin outlets equipped with a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) are not tripped (see completion manuals for location).

    1. If a GFI is found tripped, reset the GFI and do close out.
    2. If no GFI were tripped, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a 28 VDC voltage and ground check at the Inverter connector (PS5P1) as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    PS5P1-B Ground 28 VDC
    PS5P1-E Ground Continuity

    1. If power and ground are present, go to step 7.
    2. If 28 VDC is not present, continue with next step.
    3. If ground is not present, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.

  4. Access Inverter relay K181 and perform a 28 VDC input voltage check (aircraft side) as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    K181-A1 Ground 28 VDC

    1. If 28 VDC is present, replace K181 and do close out.
    2. If 28 VDC is missing, continue with next step.

  5. Access the left DCPC and check that 28 VDC is present at terminal stud T10. Repair/replace if required.
  6. Perform a 115 VAC voltage check at the Inverter output as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    PS5P1-A PS5P1-C 115 VAC

NOTE: You will need to jumper pins PS5P1-B, PS5P1-D and PS5P1-E once connector PS5P1 is disconnected unless the check is performed by "backpinning" the connector.

    1. If 115 VAC is present, check the state of CB61 (see WM 24-26-01) and check wiring between inverter and outlets. Repair/rectify as required.
    2. If 115 VAC is not present, continue with next step.

  7. Replace the Inverter (PS5).
  8. Do close out.
