Message Description:
Four dual Linear Variable Differential Transducers (LVDTs) are installed on the CL-350. One dual LVDT per pedal. For each dual LVDT, one channel is for the inboard card and the other channel is for the outboard card.
The amber 'PLT BRAKE FAULT' caution CAS message indicates one or more of the pilot's brake pedal sensors (LVDT) has failed, the pilot brakes will not work.
Possible Causes:
- One or Both Pilot Linear Variable Differential Transducers (LVDTs)
- Brake Control Unit A67 (BCU)
- Associated Wiring

- If the Left Outboard Copilot LVDT failed and the Left Outboard Pilot LVDT failed an 'L OUTBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS message will be posted.
- If the Right Outboard Copilot LVDT failed and the Right Outboard Pilot LVDT failed an 'R OUTBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS message will be posted.
- In the case were all four LVDTs above failed an 'OUTBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS will be annunciated.
- If the Left Inboard Copilot LVDT failed and the Left Inboard Pilot LVDT failed an 'L INBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS message will be posted.
- If the Right Inboard Copilot LVDT failed and the Right Inboard Pilot LVDT failed an 'R INBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS message will be posted.
- In the case were all four LVDTs above failed an 'INBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS will be annunciated.

- Verify MDC faults for following messages related to PLT Brake Fault:
- If MDC faults from Step 1 are showing, use drop-down menu and troubleshoot according to specific B3 code.
