WHITE MESSAGE
Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Simultaneously reset R AUDIO PWR 1 Circuit Breaker CB2-B1, R AUDIO PWR 2 Circuit Breaker CB3-F4, RIU 2B/AURAL Circuit Breaker CB2-B5 and RIU 2A Circuit Breaker CB2-B4. Is the fault message still present?
    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  2. Swap right CPE (A168) with left CPE (A167). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace defective CPE.

  3. Swap right RUI (A18) with left RUI (A17). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace defective RUI.

  4. Do wiring check between the right CPE (A168) and right Radio Interface Unit (A18) for the following wires:

    From To Result
    Conn. A168P1 - 96 Conn. A18P1 - 35
    Conn. A168P1 - 97 Conn. A18P1 - 36

    1. If the check is satisfactory, go to next step.
    2. If the check is not satisfactory, repair defective wiring.

  5. Do close out.
