RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

Left Generator PMG Relay 2 (LGPR2) failure. Check the Left Generator PMG Relay 2 K163 located in the LDCPC (A35) or wiring.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Generator PMG Relay 2 (LGPR2) (K163)
  • Left DC Power-Center Protection (LPROT) (PCB1)
  • Left DC Power Center (LDCPC) (A35)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Interchange the Left Generator PMG Relay 2 (K163) with the Right Generator PMG Relay 2 (K164). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace the defective Generator PMG Relay.

  2. Interchange the Left DC Power-Center Protection (PCB1) with the Right DC Power-Center Protection (PCB2). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace the defective Left DC Power-Center Protection.

  3. Replace Left DC Power Center (A35).
  4. Do close out.
