Message Overview:

Message Name:

EDPR PRESS SWITCH FAULT

Message Code:

B3-006679

Associated CAS:

FLAPS FAULT
(Advisory)

Reporting LRU: FLAP CTRL UNIT
System Description: 27-52-00
Schematic Diagram: 27-52-00
Wiring Diagram: 27-51-05

Message Description:

Flap Control Unit (FCU) detected a fault of the Right Engine Driven Pump (EDP) pressure switch.

Possible Causes:

  • Engine Driven Pump (EDPR)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin:

  • AW300-29-0251 - Recent failures of the Engine Driven Pump (EDP)

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

NOTE:

  • Problem may be caused by a hydraulic power cart and/or DCMPs not providing a volume of Hydraulic fluid at a pressure value required. Confirm the Hydraulic power cart or DCMP is the source of the issue by using the engines to test the Flap IAW AMM.
  • While R/H hydraulic system is pressurized using R Engine EDP (not hydraulic kart), check for following CAS message: R HYD ENG PUMP FAIL.

    • If message shows, suspect EDP switch.
    • If message does not show, suspect wiring between FCU and EDP switch.

Logic for EDP PRESS SWITCH failed low.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Reset the following circuit breakers.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.
    FLAP R IND CB2-B12
    FLAP L IND CB1-B13
    FLAP CTRL CB1-B14

  2. Attempt to reset the flaps using the Flap Reset on the left galley rotary test switch, near entry door. If unable to reset engage the Alternate Flaps button with the left hydraulic system pressurized, and attempt another reset using the Flap Reset switch on the left galley.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If unable to clear, continue with next step.

  3. Re-rack FCU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If problem remains, continue to next step.

  4. Do wiring check between RH EDPR Pressure Switch and FCU. Repair as necessary.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If unable to clear, continue with next step.

  5. Replace R EDPR Pressure Switch.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
