Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Verify if the EICAS 'SPOILER FAULT' is posted with an 'R INBD BRAKE FAIL' CAS message:

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, go to step 3.

  2. Check the current faults and fault history for problems related to the Right Inboard Wheel Speed Transducer / BCU.

    1. If one of the listed fault is found, continue with the troubleshooting of this failure.
    2. If none of the listed faults is recorded in the MDC, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks from BCU connector A67P2 to SECU connector A118AP1.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Visually inspect SECU's and tray's connectors for damages. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Interchange SECU 1 with SECU 2. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace defective SECU.
NOTE: An Electronic Rigging of the SECUs is necessary after a swap or a SECU replacement.

  6. Replace the Brake Control Unit.
  7. Do close out.
