- SPOILER FAULT EICAS messages caused by TQA
If you experience a 'SPOILER FAULT' - Amber or Cyan EICAS message, combined with a B3-007883 and/or B3-007916 MDC fault in the CURRENT FAULTS and/or FAULT HISTORY, in order to prevent an unnecessary removal, perform MDC and SECU NVM download. If the fault was triggered by "LTQAIdSwID" or "RTQAIdSwID" in the SECU NVM replacing the TQA will fix the issue.
- Reset SECU1 circuit breaker 'SPOILER CTRL 1' CBP1-B9 if any of the inboard MFS and GS #2, #4, #5 and #7 surface indication are amber or magenta.
- Reset SECU2 circuit breaker 'SPOILER CTRL 2' CBP2-B9 if any of the inboard MFS and GS #1, #3, #6 and #8 surface indication are amber or magenta.
NOTE: It is not permissible to cycle the SECU 1 or 2 circuit breakers in the air.

- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Do Electronic Rigging of the Spoiler Electronic Control Unit.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Visually inspect SECU's and tray's connectors for damages. Repair/replace as required.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Swap SECUs.
NOTE: An Electronic Rigging of the SECUs is necessary after a swap or a SECU replacement.
- If the fault follows, replace defective SECU.
- If the fault does not follow, perform SB350-76-001.
- If the fault still remains, replace TQA.
- Do close out.
