These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

No ARINC L-GPBUS-5 data received at Left Spoiler Electronic Control Unit (L-SECU 1).
Right Spoiler Electronic Control Unit (RL-SECU 1) and Data Concentrator (DCU) Ch. A are not reporting failure in ARINC L-GP-5 databus.

Possible Causes:

  • Spoiler Electronic-Control Unit 1 (SECU 1) (A118)
  • Junction Box 2 (JB2)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Follow the circuit breakers reset procedure documented in AW300-27-0037.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Visually inspect SECU's and tray's connectors for damages. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Swap SECUs.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

    NOTE: An Electronic Rigging of the SECUs is necessary after a swap or a SECU replacement.

  4. Do wiring checks of the ARINC L-GP-5 data bus between DCU connector A14DP1, Junction Box 2 tests points (TP 2 ARINC HI - TP 3 ARINC LO) and SECU 1 connector A118AP1 (both inputs: command and monitor). Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace Junction Box 2.
  6. Do close out.
