Data transmission path (LB-FADEC to SECU 2).
Left Ch. B FADEC data is transmitted from the Left Ch. B FADEC via the ARINC 429 LB-FADEC-1 data bus to the both DCU channels. Then, from the DCU Ch. B via the ARINC 429 B-DCU-1 data bus to the R IOC. finally, from the R IOC via the ARINC 429 R-GP-5 data bus to the SECU 2.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Follow the circuit breakers reset procedure documented in AW300-27-0037.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Check in the Current Fault and in the Fault history of the MDC for fault related to TLA, FADEC, DCU or IOC.

    1. If a fault is found, do the troubleshooting for this failure.
    2. If no fault is found, continue with next step.

  3. Visually inspect SECU's and tray's connectors for damages. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Swap SECUs.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.
NOTE: An Electronic Rigging of the SECUs is necessary after a swap or a SECU replacement.

  5. Perform wiring checks of the ARINC 429 B-DCU-1 data bus from DCU connector A14EP1 to IAPS connector A4P101. Repair/replace as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Swap IOCs.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  7. Swap FADECs.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  8. Replace DCU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  9. Replace IAPS Card Cage (ICC).
  10. Do close out.
