Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. In Maintenance Main Menu, select LRU INDEX/OPERATIONS and check Stall Protection Computer label 354.
  2. When either SECU Status Fail, SPC label 354 bit 15 is set to 1.
    XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX X1XX XX00 = SPC A = SECU 1 INTERFACE FAIL.
    XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX X1XX XX01 = SPC B = SECU 2 INTERFACE FAIL.
NOTE: Use SPC label 354 SDI (bit 10-9) to determine defective SPC.
  3. Do wiring checks between SPC connector A178AP1 and SECU1 when SPC label 354 bit 15=1 and SDI is 00. Repair as required.

    1. If system check are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains continue to next step.

  4. Do wiring checks between SPC connector A178BP1 and SECU2 when SPC label 354 bit 15=1 and SDI is 01. Repair as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains continue to next step.

  5. Replace SECU.
NOTE: Perform electronic rigging of both SECUs when either SECU is swapped or replaced. The intent is if a SECU that is being installed was previously rigged in a different location in the same aircraft or it is being installed in a different aircraft or the SECU is a spare part it requires electronic rigging (AMM 27-61-05-820-802) per the instructions in AMM TASK 27-61-05-400-801 Installation of the Spoiler Electronic-Control Unit (SECU).

    1. If system check are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains continue to next step.

  6. Reset the following circuit breakers and perform the Pilot Activated Test (PAT) of the Stall Protection System on the Systems Test control-panel located on the center pedestal.

    STALL L PWR CB1-B10
    STALL R PWR CB2-B10

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.
