Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Pull and reset the PSEU gear system breakers (CB1-C13, CB1-C14, CB2-C13, CB2-C14), recheck the system for the fault.
- If PX02, PX05, PX08, PX11 and PX18 also indicate Signal Conditioning Failure, troubleshoot these sensors for a short to ground. Perform the operational test of the proximity sensors IAW AMM 27-61-09-710-801.
NOTE: Sensor resistance should be made with a meter using a < 10 mA supply of current. Never apply voltage through a sensor! Current will magnetize the sensor rendering it unreliable. Sensor resistance is typically 11 to 13Ω. - Troubleshoot and repair or replace PX14 per the installation procedure IAW AMM TASK 27-61-09-000-801, then check the sensor out IAW AMM TASK 27-61-09-710-801.
- If possible, download and have field service review the PSEU NVM. Further troubleshooting will depend on results of the PSEU NVM.
- If failure is on PX14 only with the sensor and wiring good, and the NVM download doesn't identify external inputs as the fault, replace the PSEU IAW AMM TASK 32-61-09-000-801, AMM TASK 32-61-09-400-801.
- Functional check the proximity sensor electronic unit IAW AMM TASK 32-61-09-720-801.
