Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

Proximity Sensor Electronic Unit detects an overload condition on the discrete output to the R Dataload Relay - K158. Verify user interface, K158 and related wiring.

Possible Causes:

  • Relay (K158)
  • Junction Box JB2 Circuit-Card 1 (JB2-DB1)
  • Proximity-Sensor Electronic Unit (PSEU) (A9)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Do wiring check from the JB2-DB1 connector JB2EP1 Pin 60 to the PSEU connector A9AP1 Pin 1G. Repair as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Replace the Circuit Board 1 of the Junction Box 2.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the PSEU.
  4. Do close out.
