RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

PSEU detects an overload condition on the discrete output (DOT15A) to the TSS.

Possible Causes:

  • Traffic Alert and Collision-Avoidance System (TCAS) Transceiver (TSS-4100) (A238)
  • Proximity-Sensors Electronic Unit (PSEU) (A9)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Reset PSEU / gear system circuit breakers CB1-C13, CB1-C14, CB2-C13 and CB2-C14. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  2. Do wiring check between the PSEU (A9) and the TSS (A238) for the following wire:

    To From Result
    Conn. A9CP1 - 10D A238BP1 - 4H

    1. If the check is satisfactory, continue with next step.
    2. If the check is not satisfactory, repair defective wire.
      NOTE: With the aircraft on ground (WOW) and the PSEU (A9) installed, there should be no continuity (open circuit) for this Discrete Output at the TSS (A238).

  3. Replace TSS (A238). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  4. Replace PSEU (A9).
  5. Do close out.
