Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Ensure CB2-A1 is closed.
  2. Swap the right VHF Navigation Receiver 2 (ADF VOR) (A048) with the left VHF Navigation Receiver 1 (ADF VOR) (A047). Does MDC Fault Code switch to B3-007249?
    NOTE: Swap is only possible for aircraft POST SB 350-34-01 - Installation of the Second Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) Option.

    1. If YES, replace the original Left VHF Navigation Receiver 1 (ADF VOR) (A048).
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Perform the Functional Test of the VHF Navigation Receiver (AMM 34-51-01-720-801) and the Functional Test of the VOR/LOC Antenna Coupler (AMM 34-51-09-720-801).
  4. Do close out.
