Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the Galley Control Panel (GCP) CMS Equipment page, check the APA status.

    1. If the status is "update available", proceed with Step 2.
    2. If the status is "not available" or "disconnected", proceed with Step 3.

  2. On the CMS Equipment page, Select the APA to start the update process of the APA. The unit will reboot and update its software automatically. After the software update is complete, check the status of the APA on the GCP CMS Equipment page.

    1. If the APA status is "ready", do close out.
    2. If the APA status is not "ready", refer to the Software Load Procedure to complete the system update.

  3. Access the APA and inspect the front panel LEDs on the unit:

    1. If the Power LED is on proceed with Step 5.
    2. If Power LED is off, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a 28 VDC check on J1 Pin A2 (DC-GND) and A3 (28 VDC).

    1. If 28 VDC is available, replace the APA and do close out.
    2. If 28 VDC is not available, check circuit breaker, wiring and power source and rectify as required.

  5. Check the Link status light on the connector side of the unit:

    1. If the Link light is off, continue with next step.
    2. If the Link light is on, go to Step 7.

  6. Check the connections, associated wiring and installation of the APA.

    1. If defects are found, rectify as required and do close out.
    2. If no defects are found, continue with next step.

  7. Replace the APA.
  8. Do close out.
