Message Overview:
Message Description:
The red 'R BATT OVERHEAT' warning CAS message indicates that one of the battery temperature sensor have sense a temperature greater than or equal to 70°C.
- If both Right Battery Temp Sensors are sensing a over-temp, the following will occur:
- EFIS Summary and Electrical Pages indicate high right battery temperature.
- The left battery contactor opens for overheat protection, and amber 'R BATT FAIL' caution message appears on the CAS.

- Electrical System Component(s)
- Right Battery (RBATT) (BT2)
- Remote Data Concentrator (RDC) (A13)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check for other ATA 24 CAS Messages on EICAS and proceed with respective troubleshooting prior to continue with next step.
- Do wiring check of the following wire:
From To Results RBATT conn. BT2P2 - pin C RDC conn. A13DP1 - pin 12H RBATT conn. BT2P2 - pin D RDC conn. A13DP1 - pin 12G - If check is not satisfactory, repair/replace defective wire.
- If check is satisfactory, continue with next step.
- Swap Right Battery (BT2) with Left Battery (BT1). Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace defective Battery.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace Remote Data Concentrator (A13).
- Do close out.
