Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The CABIN TEMPERATURE TRIMMER located in the cabin is detected failed.

NOTE: The term "TRIMMER" refers to the Cabin temperature control interface. IASC 1 is connected to a potentiometer controlled via the passenger control Interface. The potentiometer is located inside Ethernet interface Unit 2 (EIU 2). Refer to your supplemental wiring manual for wiring detail.

Possible Causes:

  • Integrated Air System Controller 1 (IASC1) (A55)
  • Ethernet Interface Unit 2 (EIU2)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap IASC #1 with IASC #2. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace defective IASC and do close out.

  2. Perform wiring checks between IASC 1 and EIU 2. Refer to your Supplemental wiring manual for interface wiring details.

    1. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
    2. If defects are found, repair defective wiring as required.

  3. Swap EIU 2 with EIU 1 for fault confirmation. Replace defective unit if required.
  4. Do close out.
