Message Overview:
Message Description:
Fuel Quantity Gauging Computer has no ARINC input from L GP-5 bus.
Possible Causes:
- Junction Box 1 (JB1)
- Junction Box 2 (JB2)
- Left Input/Output Concentrator (IOC) (A4-IOC1)
- Fuel Quantity Gauging Computer (FQGC) (A57)
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
If the MDC message 'No L-GP-5 Input' is in the Fault Message History (FMH) and FQGC BIT passes, this should be considered a transitory condition.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Make sure the Refuel/Defuel panel is set to OFF and reset CB3-C3 (FUEL QTY 1), CB4-C3 (FUEL QTY 2), CB1-B6 (L IAPS), waiting 10 seconds before pushing the breakers back.
- If fault is no longer in the Current Fault report, no other action is necessary.
- If fault is still present, go to next step.
- Verify if other LRUs have reported a missing ARINC input from L GP-5 bus.
- If YES, troubleshoot L IOC card.
- If NO, go to next step.
- Interchange IOC cards.
- If fault follows, replace faulty IOC card.
- If fault remains, re-install IOC cards to their original position and go to next step.
- Carry out wiring checks.
