Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

TSS data bus (TA/RA-2) is reported absent by the right MFD, while it is not reported absent by the right PFD, and the right IOC have received right PFD data.

Possible Causes:

  • Adaptive Flight-Display Unit 'A429 Input' (R MFD) (A28)
  • Junction Box 1 (JB1)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Reset R MFD Circuit Breaker CB2-C5. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  2. Interchange R MFD (A28) with R PFD (A26). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  3. Do wiring check between R MFD (A28), through JB1, and R PFD (A26) for the following wires:

    From: To: Result:
    Conn. A28P2 - 84 Conn. A26P2 - 84
    Conn. A28P2 - 85 Conn. A26P2 - 85

    1. If the check is not satisfactory, repair defective wiring or replace defective JB1.
    2. If the check is satisfactory, continue with next step.

  4. Do close out.
