Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

  • Right Multi-Function Display 2 (R-MFD) (A28)
  • Integrated-Avionics Processor System (IAPS) Card Cage (ICC) (A4)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Reset R IAPS Circuit Breaker CB2-B6, L FILE SERVER Circuit Breaker CB1-C6 and DATA LOADER Circuit Breaker CB3-D1. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  2. Do wiring check between IAPS Card Cage (A4), through JB4, to both PMAT Connectors (PL43 and PL42), and to DBU (A191) for the following wires:

    1. If check is satisfactory, continue with next step.
    2. If check is not satisfactory, repair defective wiring/connectors or JB4.

  3. Replace FSU 1 (A221). Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.
      <>NOTE: To confirm defective FSU1, FSUs can be swapped if Dual IFIS Option is incorporated.

  4. Replace DBU (A191), Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  5. Replace MDC. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  6. Replace IAPS Card Cage (A4).
  7. Do close out.
