GALLEY CONTROL PANEL DISPLAYS DRM LOGO ON EQUIPMENT PAGE

Galley Control Panel (GCP) displays Digital Rights Management (DRM)-logo on CMS equipment page, upper right corner.

• Digital Rights Management (DRM) keys of one or more LRUs of the nice® HD CMS/IFE system are inaccurate/missing:

  • Missing/Incomplete DRM Update Procedure
  • Missing/Incomplete LRU Update (e.g. after LRU exchange)
  • Wrong Configuration Software DataBase (CSDB) Used

1. Ensure CMS/IFE system is booted up completely (power on and wait for about 5 minutes to ensure proper system status reporting).
2. On Galley Control Panel (GCP) navigate to CMS equipment page, select item "system software" and ensure the aircraft MSN is contained in "current p/n" (e.g. for Challenger C350, MSN 20613: p/n SCDC350-20613-A or p/n SCDC3-20613-04A).NOTE: If p/n is incorrect, contact the Bombardier CRC for further instructions.
3. Check if special requirements apply and ensure necessary tools are available in reference to Software Load Procedure for nice® HD on CL350 (C-ABR142-UG-001), chapter 3.; e.g.

   1. DRM update requires internet connection.
   2. EDID update requires external HDMI source.
   3. Windows update, requires USB memory stick with CSDB and system software.
   4. nice®view terrain update requires Terrain Hard Disk Drive p/n FTS0407NVT004 or newer.

In reference to Software Load Procedure for nice® HD on CL350 (C-ABR142-UG-001) chapter 3:

1. Perform "DRM update".

   1. Ensure DRM logo changes to green color.
      NOTE: If color stays amber, a "special tool" for DRM update is missing. (No connection to DRM Server, most likely due to insufficient internet connection quality). The update will fail.

2. Perform an update of the affected LRU(s).
3. Do close out.
