GALLEY CONTROL PANEL DISPLAYS 'UPDATE REQUIRED'

Galley Control Panel (GCP) displays "update required" LRU status on CMS equipment page.

• Software of one or more LRUs of the nice® HD Cabin Management System/In-Flight Entertainment (CMS/IFE) system was identified as inaccurate:

  • Unit not updated after replacement
  • Incomplete LRU update
  • Wrong Configuration Server Data Base (CSDB) used

1. Ensure the nice® HD system is booted up completely (power on and wait for about 5 minutes to ensure proper system status reporting).
2. On Galley Control Panel (GCP) navigate to home, CMS equipment page, select item "system software" and ensure the aircraft MSN is contained in "current p/n" (e.g. for Challenger C350, MSN 20613: p/n SCDC350-20613-A or p/n SCDC3-20613-04A).
   NOTE: If p/n is incorrect, contact the Bombardier Customer Response Center (CRC) for further instructions.
3. Check if special requirements apply and ensure necessary tools are available in reference to Lufthansa Technik document C-ABR142-UG001, Software Load Procedure (SLP), chapter 3.; e.g.

   1. DRM update requires Internet connection
   2. EDID update requires external HDMI source
   3. Windows update requires USB memory stick with CSDB and system software
   4. nice® view terrain update requires Terrain Hard Disk Drive p/n FTS047NVT004 or newer.

1. Identify possible special requirements by identifying affected LRU and SW part number.
2. Perform SW load procedure in reference to the CL-350 nice® HD Technical User Guide C-ABT207-UG-001, chapter 5.
   

   Requirements after Job Completion:
   Ensure the system status is reported as "ready" after a reboot (allow system to run for about 5 minutes to stabilize display of system state).
