Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Ensure CMS/IFE system is booted up completely (power on and wait for about 5 minutes to ensure proper system status reporting).
- Ensure system status to be reported "ready".
- In case another system status than "ready" is reported, follow the appropriate procedure.
- Ensure the display works properly by changing the video source (Navigate to media, video and selecting another available source, check that other sources (e.g. USB port or HDMI port) are displayed correctly).
- In case the display stays black for all inputs, exchange it.
- Change video source back to Blu-ray.
- Eject the currently playing Blu-ray.
- Insert a Blu-ray which has been released before 2015 and start to "play" it.
- If the Blu-ray is playing the content as expected, follow instructions of Observed Fault 'LCD shows Blu-ray Player Warning/Update Message'.
- If the Blu-ray released prior 2015 shows the same behavior as the first one, eject it.
- To check the disc drive of the Blu-ray Player, insert a DVD and start to "play" it.
- If the DVD shows same behavior as the Blu-rays, replace Blu-ray Player and repeat this procedure
- If all steps above do not fix the black screen when playing a Blu-ray, call Bombardier Customer Response Center (CRC) for further help.
