Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Are there more than one generator magenta on the synoptic page?

    1. If YES, go to step 4.
    2. If only one generator is magenta, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a wiring check between the affected Generator Protection/Logic PCB in DCPC and the DCU as follows:
    Left Generator

    From To Result
    A35P1-s A14AP1-11C
    A35P1-w A14AP1-11D

    Right Generator

    From To Result
    A36P1-s A14EP1-1J
    A36P1-w A14EP1-1K

NOTE: The left (PCB1) and right (PCB2) protection PCBs have the same part numbers and can be swapped for troubleshooting purposes.
    APU Generator

    From To Result
    A196P1-s A14AP1-12C
    A196P1-w A14AP1-12D

    1. If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If no defects are found, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the affected Protection/Logic PCB as required. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  4. Access the MDC to view fault messages. Are there any DCU related fault messages?

    1. If YES, use SmartFix Plus to troubleshoot these messages first.
    2. If NO, replace the DCU.

  5. Do close out
