Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Inspect the Generator Cooling Inlet and Outlet on the engine cowling for obstruction or debris.
- Verify that the Generator electrical connections are secured and in good condition.
- Spin the Right Generator (G2) shaft by hand through the opening of the cooling ports. Does it spin freely?
- If YES (the shaft is sheared), replace the defective Generator.
- If NO (some friction could be felt), continues with next step.
- Do wiring check of the following wires:
From To Results R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin A R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin F R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin B R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin G R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin G R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin AA R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin D R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin H R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin F R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin h R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin E R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin J R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin L R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin JJ R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin M R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin z R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin H R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin D R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin J R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin d R GEN conn. G2P1 - pin K R DCPC conn. A36P1 - pin E - If wiring check is satisfying, continue with next step.
- If wiring check is not satisfying, repair the defective wire.
- Interchange the Right Generator (G2) with the Left Generator (G1). Is the fault message still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, replace the defective Generator.
- Interchange the Right Generator Control Unit (PCB6) with the Left Generator Control Unit (PCB5). Is the fault message still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, replace the defective Generator Control Unit.
- Interchange the Right Generator Power Module (PCB8) with the Left Generator Power Module (PCB7). Is the fault message still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, replace the defective Generator Power Module.
- Replace Right DC Power Center (A36).
- Do close out.
