Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The Left AUX Fuse (LAUXF) connecting the Left Auxiliary Bus to the Left Secondary Power Center, located in the Left DC Power Center, has blown.

Possible Causes:

  • Left AUX Fuse (LAUXF) (F13)
  • Left DC Power-Center Protection (LPROT) (PCB1)
  • Left DC Power Center (L DCPC) (A35)
  • Left Secondary Power Center (LSPC) (A37)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Disconnect both batteries and the External DC power.
  2. Inspect Left DCPC (A35), external and internal, for any signs of burning and any foreign object that could have caused a short circuit.

    1. If inspection is okay, continue with next step.
    2. If inspection is not okay, replace defective L DCPC (A35) and go to step 4.

  3. Remove, inspect and measure the Left AUX Fuse (F13) located in the Left DCPC (A35). Is the fuse good?

    1. If YES, go to step 4.
    2. If NO, replace defective fuse and continue with next step.
      NOTE: AIPC has to be follow to ensure proper Fuse Part Number. An incorrect fuse current rating might cause major damages to the Aircraft.

  4. Inspect Left SPC (A37), external and internal, for any signs of burning and any foreign object that could have caused a short circuit.

    1. If inspection is okay, continue with next step.
    2. If inspection is not okay, replace defective L SPC (A37) and continue with next step.

  5. Disconnect and do wiring check of the following power feeders:

    From: To: Results
    L DCPC - Stud T6 L SPC - Stud T6
    L DCPC - Stud T6 Terminal Block TB1 - Stud 6

    1. If check is okay, continue with next step.
    2. If check is not okay, repair/replace defective feeder.
      NOTE: Depending on Aircraft configuration, Left AUX Bus feeder might be connected differently from Left DCPC to Terminal Block TB1. Confirm with the Wiring Manual and your Supplemental Wiring Manual.

  6. From Terminal Block TB1 to completion LRUs, inspect component(s) and do wiring check as per your Supplemental Wiring Manual. Repair/replace wiring or component as required. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, do close out.

  7. Interchange the Left DC Power-Center Protection (PCB1) with the Right DC Power-Center Protection (PCB2). Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, contact your FSR for a deeper investigation.
    2. If NO, replace the defective DC Power-Center Protection.

  8. Do close out.
