Message Description:

Galley Control Panel (GCP) displays on CMS equipment page status for LRU "not connected".

Possible Causes:

  • One or more LRUs of the nice® HD CMS/IFE system is/are not available on the network since the last power cycle:

    • LRU Lost Network Connection
    • LRU Lost Power

Required Conditions:

  • Ensure the nice® HD system is booted up completely (power on and wait for about 5 minutes to ensure proper system status reporting).
  • On Galley Control Panel (GCP) navigate to home, CMS equipment page, select item "system software" and ensure the aircraft MSN is contained in "current p/n" (e.g. for Challenger C350, MSN 20613: p/n SCDC350-20613-A or p/n SCDC3-20613-04A).
NOTE: If p/n is incorrect, contact CRC for further instructions.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check the circuit breaker of respective LRU and make sure it is set IN.
  2. Recycle Power of respective LRU (remove power, wait 5 minutes, apply power).

    1. In case problem persists, continue with next step.
    2. If fault is resolved, do close out.

  3. In reference to CL350 nice® HD Technical User Guide (C-ABT207-UG-001), Section "LRU LED Status Indication" check LEDs on the LRU:

    1. Power LED (labeled PWR).

      1. "green": Proceed with next LED.
      2. "off": check availability of power at the respective connector (refer to aircraft specific wiring diagram).

    2. Ethernet Link LED (labeled LNK).

      1. "green": proceed with next LED.
      2. "off": check Ethernet wiring (refer to aircraft specific wiring diagram).

    3. Ethernet Activity (labeled ACT).

      1. Flashing amber, continue with next step.
      2. "off": Contact the Bombardier Customer Response CenterI and provide aircraft type, aircraft MSN, LRU p/n, LRU S/N, installation location, and performed troubleshooting steps.

  4. Swap LRU with identical p/n from a different position.
NOTE: Do not forget to perform update of LRU after installation from the GCP, CMS equipment page.
WARNING: In case EIU 1 is intended to be replaced, please follow appropriate procedure.

    1. If the failure follows the LRU, contact the Bombardier Customer Response center.
    2. If the failure does not follow the LRU, contact the Bombardier Customer Response center and provide aircraft type, aircraft MSN, LRU p/n, LRU s/n, installation position, and performed troubleshooting steps.

  5. Do close out.
