Overview

Note:
The Heating System is available on A/C 9141 to 9158 for Global Express.

The heating system supplies warm air into the entry area. The Distribution System must be on and operating for the air to flow through the heater.

Entry Area Heater

The entry area heater supplies additional warm air to the entry area. It is installed in the avionics bay. The heater is a 500 VA, 2 phase unit which requires 115 VAC. On Global 5000/XRS, the entry area heater is powered by the CES dedicated ACPDE unit. On Global Express, the entry area heater is powered by the AC 1 CABIN FEED bus through the circuit breaker B8 on the LH circuit breaker panel. The control of the unit is provided at the galley TSE and the default state at power up is OFF.

Air Flow Ducts

The heated air coming from the entry area heater is directed to the entry area through the air flow ducts.

System Operation

The air heater is controlled from the galley touchscreen. The selection of appropriate switch-icon on the galley touchscreen will result in the closing of the applicable relay in the cabin management system (CMS) and sends power to the entry area heater. The air heater extracts conditioned air from the air supply duct, heats it, and directs it to the entry area.
