Overview
The Potable Water System (PWS) provides hot and cold potable water to the galley sink, the forward and aft lavatory sinks, the lavatory toilets, and optionally to selected galley equipment. The potable water system consists of a 28.6 U.S. gallon (108.3 liter) water tank, dual water pumps, plumbing, valves, heaters, and sterilizers.
The components of the potable water system are located throughout the cabin. On Global Express/XRS, the water tank is located just forward of the baggage compartment door. On Global 5000, the water tank is located just forward of the passenger main entrance. Also located at each of these locations are the water pumps.
Waste water from the lavatory sink, galley, and the potable water drain process (gray water) is discharged overboard through two heated drain masts. Waste water from the toilets (black water) is collected in a waste tank for disposal into a ground servicing cart.
The rinse/fill valve supplies the connections for the replenishing of the waste disposal system.
