Aircraft Registration Change
Bombardier Business Aircraft published a checklist for the required items, systems and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) procedure references associated to changing an aircraft registration.
This is not a formal document and is based on collective tribal knowledge when performing an aircraft registration change as it varies from one aircraft to another. It is aimed to assist operators, technicians and service facilities in bringing to their attention what is required at the aircraft level, but it is not in replacement of any regulatory requirements.
It is important to review any additional equipment installed as part of the aircraft interior completion or via Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) that maybe be affected as well by an aircraft registration change for systems that Bombardier is unaware of and not responsible for their design or installation.
In cases where the aircraft type was never registered before in that new country - and it is a first in country and/or type validation for that particular country - it may have additional national requirements. In these cases, specific request for assistance should be submitted to Bombardier via SRPSA (Service Request for Product Support Action) process using the Foreign Approval Request form.
The two Aircraft Registration Change/Checklist documents, one for the Global 5000/6000 aircraft featuring Bombardier Vision flight deck and one for the Global Express/XRS/Global 5000, as well as the Foreign Approval Request form, are available on the Bombardier Customer Portal.
