SmartOps

SmartOps is designed to offer a 'heads-up' to potential issues which have been experienced in the field by operators flying the Global aircraft. It also brings together related ADVISORY WIRES and other published material, in ONE PLACE, in an understandable format that is user friendly for the flying group.

The categories are divided into two groups: PROACTIVE information (Operational Tips) and REACTIVE information (Flight Deck Indications, CAS Messages, and Navigation Tips).

SmartOps is limited to items that affect aircraft operation, starting when the Pilots board the aircraft until the aircraft begins taxiing, and after engine shutdown.

This guide is organized in a logical sequence, alphabetically, and by category. In the description section of each item, it is pointed out if an item is applicable to all Global aircraft or to a particular Global model. However this is not always possible, so please keep that in mind while using this information. Only Advisory Wires and any other published Bombardier document is endorsed by the manufacturer.

NOTES:

  1. When the RECOMMENDED ACTION provides an AW synopsis, it is only a partial explanation of the problem and action. Reference the actual AW for full explanation.

  2. Any AMM Task reference is an aide to understanding the problem more thoroughly. The task is a MAINTENANCE function only and not to be accomplished by a crew member unless that crew member is qualified to perform that task.

    ALPHABETICAL

Navigation tips that are useful while preparing to fly in world wide airspace.
    OPERATIONAL TIPS
    VERSION 1.81

pdf_de-icing2024 - 2025 Cold Weather Operations

The presence of ice, snow, slush, or water accumulation, may have serious consequences on critical systems such as the engines, the APU, the wings, the landing gear and the sensing elements. The recommendations contained in this newsletter supplement normal procedures and will help ensure satisfactory operation of the aircraft and its systems in cold climatic conditions. In case of a discrepancy between the aircraft manuals and the recommendations in this document, the aircraft manuals prevail.
